Healthy Boundaries Check List

  • YOU are the only one who gets to decide how you want to be treated.

  • Be clear in your communication on what behavior IS and is NOT acceptable.

  • Notice whether or not someone’s actions match their words.

  • Get used to saying, “That is not acceptable” to those who repeatedly encroach upon your boundaries.

  • Watch closely for proof of changed behavior.

  • Praise good behavior.

  • Do NOT reward unacceptable behavior.

  • If someone cannot act with acceptable behavior, deny access.

  • Make healthy boundaries non-negotiable. No second, third or gazillionth chances.

Sometimes love begins with saying no.
