How To Ground Yourself

You might be thinking, “Why do I need to ground myself?"

A grounded energy field enables an individual raise their vibrational frequency so that they are more empowered to deal with the curveballs in life.

Symptoms of UNGROUNDEDNESS are:

  • Anxiety or nervousness

  • Not being able to focus on one task at a time; mentally scattered

  • Clumsiness; causing minor mishaps & injuries to oneself

  • Fatigue or feeing emotionally drained

  • Confusion or forgetfulness; spacey headedness

5 SIMPLE WAYS TO GROUND YOURSELF

  1. FEEL YOUR FEET. The most common tip that I offer to my clients is to bring mindful attention to the soles of the feet. Feel the soles of your feet attached to the earth. Sink into the feeling of your feet and really feel the earth beneath you, supporting you.

  2. B-R-E-A-T-H-E DEEPLY. Bring conscious awareness to your breath. Breathe deeply into the abdomen, inhaling through the nose and exhaling slowly out through the mouth as if you are fogging up a glass. As you breathe, also feel your feet on the ground simultaneously. This is an excellent way to ground when you don't have time or space to leave whatever situation you may be dealing with in the moment.

  3. DO A HEADSTAND OR A WALL-STAND. I often do a headstand when I'm needing to ground my energy. This technique helps bring focus in the moment as you create balance in the body. It also increases blood circulation. If you don't know how to do a headstand, no problem. Just do a wall-stand. In a wall-stand, lay on the floor with your bum against the wall. Swing your legs parallel to the wall and allow the backs of your heels to rest on the wall, with the soles of your feet pointed towards the ceiling. Do this for about one or two minutes.

  4. COMMUNE WITH NATURE. Take walks in the park or lie on the grass. This is a very potent way to ground the energy field. You can also do what's called earthing. Kick off your shoes and just walk on the earth with bare feet. This resets the energy field of the body with the harmonic frequencies of Earth.

  5. CARRY GEMSTONES. Hematite, black tourmaline or obsidian are great stones for grounding energy.
